Nick Shea

Nick first started reading The Wall Street Journal while in high school at Phillips Exeter Academy. He bought his first stocks while a sophomore in college, creating a diversified portfolio of four common stocks. He continues to be a voracious consumer of financial news, which he seeks to apply to the benefit of all his clients and their investment holdings. Nick has led large teams at major financial services companies and has now taken a special interest in helping seniors navigate the labyrinth that is Medicare.

Nick became a licensed stockbroker in 1984 and served most of his early career at the former Dean Witter, now Morgan Stanley. He also spent time working for a fixed income house on Wall Street, which was quite enlightening as he was there during the stock market crash of 1987. Eventually, Nick’s career path brought him to Charles Schwab, where he worked as an Investment Consultant, Branch Manager, and Product Developer. As a Learning and Development Director, he created and delivered the branch management leadership program for the entire branch network. He graduated from Occidental College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, which led to an International Fellowship from Occidental, where he studied comparative economic development in Scotland and the former Yugoslavia. He later furthered his education by earning an MBA at the University of Notre Dame.

As the Founder and Co-owner of Catalyst, Nick believes in giving back to his community. He belongs to the Knights of Columbus and the Greater Salem NH Rotary Club. He is involved with civic activities, serving as an elected member of the Windham Zoning Board of Adjustment. He is also a full and active member of the Windham Economic Development Committee.
